Kiely does block prints. Orla does graphic work.
Kiely work is contemporary, she sells her artwork online, she has her own business.
Kiely uses a simple range of colours. The texture is smooth, which makes the pattern
stand out. The pattern is simple, but effective. It's effective because, the colours bounce off each other and they compliment each other.
The surface design objects are applied to, natural forms,
like leaves.
Kiely has done a block print for this design, i like it because it look professional.
Kiely has used a small colour palette, she has used red, blue, brown and orange. The colours are pastel like. They're calm and not to bright. The pattern is the outline of a flower, which has been filled with white and then one of the colours above (which is just a simple small dot in the centre).
The surface, is soft and the texture is smooth. I like this because, it's different and i think it would make a really good wallpaper to have in someones house.
This radio by Orla is calm and is leather like. The pattern is the same as the photo above, but the main bold colour is different. The colours work because, once again they compliment each other. The colours really work well with the pale radio face because, it's clear on what the object is, it's not distracting. The texture is smooth and welcoming. The pattern is pretty simple, but effective. I like the idea, but i'm not to keen on the grey, i think it would be good, if it was a little more brighter.
